Bank Station Systems and Integration Upgrade
Transport for London

Project Overview
Bank Station Systems and Integration Upgrade formed part of a major Transport for London station upgrade, delivered in a complex live operational environment with multiple subcontractor and direct labour interfaces, significant commercial pressure and tight completion milestones.
What Acuity Did
Acuity provided Senior Commercial Management support within Transport for London on the Bank Station SSIU Upgrade, where he was brought into a distressed project environment to restore commercial clarity and improve delivery certainty. The role focused on establishing the true cost to complete across a wide range of subcontract packages and direct labour workstreams, creating a more reliable basis for forecasting, reporting and revenue recovery.
Acuity’s approach in comparable environments centres on disciplined change management, accurate cost substantiation and proactive settlement of commercial issues. On Bank Station, this included implementing a project-wide change management process, increasing the quality of data available for client claims, negotiating settlement of subcontract accounts and supporting the repackaging and retendering of the remaining works to maintain programme momentum.
Acuity’s Value Add
This experience demonstrates Acuity’s ability to stabilise distressed projects through stronger commercial governance, clearer cost forecasting and practical dispute avoidance. At Bank Station, that approach helped improve revenue recovery certainty, resolve longstanding cost-to-complete inaccuracies and support successful completion forecasting.
A key outcome was the negotiated settlement of a $25 million subcontract account, avoiding formal dispute and helping the client progress the remaining works with greater confidence and control. More broadly, the work strengthened commercial visibility, improved decision-making and supported substantial completion ahead of key programme dates.
